Before founding Commsolid Matthias headed the system engineering department at Intel Mobil Communications Technology Dresden. He received his PhD and diploma degree in Electrical Engineering both with distinction from Dresden University of Technology in 2003 and Berlin University of Technology in 1995, respectively. Matthias was one of the founders of the Systemonic AG in 1999. Here, he was responsible for the DSP architecture and headed the DSP tools team. After the acquisition by Philips in 2002 Matthias managed various baseband developments in the field of WLAN 802.11n, UWB and LTE. Within NXP Matthias acted as director of project management for LTE. In 2008 Matthias co-founded Blue Wonder Communications, which has been exited into Intel. Matthias holds the Erwin-Stephan-Award, has published over 30 papers and holds several patents.
